Contracts Manager – Southwest Region

About the role

The Contracts Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of contracts across the Low Speed business in the Southwest region. You will lead day‑to‑day operations, nurture customer relationships and drive productivity while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead health and safety initiatives, ensure compliance with Chevron procedures and conduct regular site safety briefings.
• Oversee operational planning, crew allocation, performance monitoring and resource management.
• Manage contract expenditure, monitor commercial performance and contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, address queries promptly and ensure high service standards.
• Identify new business opportunities, develop leads and support senior management in regional growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in traffic management or highways/utility maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of the highways and utilities market.
• Solid commercial awareness with ability to manage P&L elements.
• Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification.
• SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
• Lantra qualifications (12a/b, 12d, TSCO).
• Experience with TM design CAD software.
• TTME course completion.
