Digital Skills Learning and Teacher Development – Individual Consultancy

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the design and implementation of digital teacher professional development and curriculum rollout across Ethiopia. The role focuses on strengthening digital learning systems, creating high‑quality content, and supporting the Ministry of Education’s teacher development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and roll out school‑based teacher professional development programmes.
• Provide technical assistance and digital systems support for curriculum implementation.
• Develop, curate, and digitise educational content aligned with national standards.
• Drive innovation, knowledge management, and capacity‑building activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on programme outcomes and learning impact.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in teacher training, digital content creation, and educational project management.
• Proven experience managing learning platforms and designing teacher professional development courses.
• Familiarity with Ethiopia’s Ministry of Education TPD initiatives and standards.
• Experience with foundational numeracy or mathematics programme design.
