Finance Officer (P3) – Humanitarian Finance Unit

About the role

The Finance Officer (P3) will join OCHA’s Humanitarian Financing Unit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, supporting the Crisis Response Division. Reporting to the Head of Humanitarian Finance Unit or Fund Manager, the incumbent contributes to OCHA’s mission of coordinating effective humanitarian action and managing multi‑donor pooled funds.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑donor country‑based pooled funds, ensuring transparent allocation to humanitarian actors.
• Oversee financial reporting and compliance for unearmarked donor contributions.
• Supervise staff as required and provide guidance on financial procedures.
• Be prepared to surge to other countries in the region on short notice to support emergency operations.
