Procurement Intern – Support Indirect Materials Purchasing

About the role
Join JTI as a Procurement Intern and assist our team in managing indirect material purchases. You will gain hands‑on experience in the full procurement cycle while ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end procurement activities for indirect materials, including RFQs and RFPs.
- Collect and compare supplier quotations using a structured three‑quote approach.
- Perform basic cost analysis covering unit price, transportation, taxes, and lead times.
- Maintain and update procurement trackers to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare procurement documents such as RFQs, bid comparison sheets, and vendor files.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.
- Communicate with stakeholders via clear email correspondence and timely follow‑ups.
- Assist in preparing KPI analysis and reports using PowerPoint.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
Required profile
- Recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
