Procurement Intern – Support Indirect Materials Purchasing

About the role

Join JTI as a Procurement Intern and assist our team in managing indirect material purchases. You will gain hands‑on experience in the full procurement cycle while ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end procurement activities for indirect materials, including RFQs and RFPs.
• Collect and compare supplier quotations using a structured three‑quote approach.
• Perform basic cost analysis covering unit price, transportation, taxes, and lead times.
• Maintain and update procurement trackers to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare procurement documents such as RFQs, bid comparison sheets, and vendor files.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows.
• Communicate with stakeholders via clear email correspondence and timely follow‑ups.
• Assist in preparing KPI analysis and reports using PowerPoint.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
