Programme Support Officer – Joint Labour Migration Programme

About the role

The Programme Support Officer will join the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) team at the African Union Commission (AUC) in Addis Ababa. Reporting to the JLMP Programme Coordinator and under the supervision of the Director, SLO, the officer will help coordinate and implement programme activities across multiple partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination and communication with IOM, ILO, GIZ and other stakeholders to ensure activities follow the approved work plan.
• Consolidate and draft sections of periodic narrative reports in line with the programme’s reporting and M&E policies.
• Contribute to drafting position papers, talking points and policy briefs on labour migration.
• Assist the Programme Coordinator in organising Steering Committee and technical committee meetings.
• Monitor programme implementation against the JLMP logical framework and donor requirements, identifying obstacles and proposing solutions.
• Support the organisation of workshops, trainings and meetings, including minute‑taking and report drafting.
• Maintain a stakeholder network for information sharing and manage the project calendar.
• Assist with project evaluations in coordination with the M&E Officer.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of senior programme staff and collaborate with multiple international partners.
• Strong organisational skills for coordinating meetings, workshops and reporting cycles.
• Experience in programme monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
