Secondary Science/Physics Teacher (Volunteer)

About the role

As a Secondary Science/Physics Teacher at Bingham Academy, you will deliver Cambridge‑aligned physics lessons to secondary students in Addis Ababa, integrating a Christian philosophy of education and mentoring students in both academics and character.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, student‑centered physics lessons following the Cambridge curriculum.
• Prepare schemes of work, resources and assessments, monitoring academic progress and character development.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and language backgrounds.
• Provide timely feedback, maintain accurate records, and manage a safe, inclusive classroom.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science, Education or related field.
• Teaching certification or license.
• Ministry‑mindset with Christ‑like character and cultural sensitivity.

Required skills

• Ability to teach the Cambridge IGCSE/A‑Level Physics curriculum.
• Experience designing student‑centered lesson plans and assessments.
