Trainee E‑learning Designer and Developer

About the role

The Bank of Abyssinia is looking for a motivated trainee to support the creation of high‑quality digital learning experiences for its employees. You will gain hands‑on experience in e‑learning design, development, and implementation while learning about banking products, services, and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and publishing interactive e‑learning modules using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and authoring tools.
• Support multimedia production, including video recording, editing, and post‑production.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject‑matter experts, and IT teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Upload and organize learning assets in the LMS and maintain digital content repositories.
• Apply UX and learner‑centered design principles to ensure accessibility and engagement.
• Participate in training sessions to acquire banking knowledge and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic learner eager to understand basic banking products, services, and operational processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and SMEs.
• Willingness to take initiative, seek new challenges, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Required skills

• Basic web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• e‑learning authoring tools such as Articulate and Captivate.
• Multimedia software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital asset management.
• Exposure to AI‑supported content creation tools is a plus.
