Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with Ethiopian regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements.
• Process tax declarations and statutory filings using the ERCA/eTax System.
• Handle VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, pension and other statutory obligations.
• Manage import and export documentation via the Ethiopian Electronic Single Window (ESW) and eTrade Platform.
• Submit regulatory reports through the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) Online System.
• Coordinate payroll processing with HR.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Hands‑on experience with ERCA/eTax System and Ethiopian eTrade/ESW platforms.
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and communication skills.
