Backend Developer (Node.js, TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a talented backend developer to build scalable, secure, and high‑performance backend systems. You will design APIs, develop microservices, optimise databases, and ensure platform reliability while collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC).
• Design and optimise SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and troubleshoot production issues.
• Integrate third‑party services and APIs.
• Implement logging, monitoring and observability.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS or Express.js).
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of Docker, containerisation and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid grasp of software architecture and design patterns.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization and API security best practices.
