Product Manager – E‑commerce Marketplace

About the role

Dirgebeya.com is Ethiopia’s first video‑based online marketplace, connecting shoppers with trending products through engaging video content. As a Product Manager you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of new platform features, turning market insights and user feedback into high‑impact product releases that drive engagement and transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning feature priorities with business goals.
• Gather and analyse user requirements, market trends and competitor data to shape product specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of features.
• Monitor product performance metrics post‑launch and iterate based on data‑driven insights.
• Facilitate user research activities, including interviews and usability testing.
• Document product decisions, backlog items and release plans for cross‑functional visibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience in product management, roadmap planning and backlog prioritisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data and customer feedback into actionable specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce platforms, marketplaces or digital products, preferably in emerging markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Amharic or other local languages is a plus.
