Battery Hardware Team Lead/Engineer

About the role

The L3 Battery Hardware/Team Lead Engineer is responsible for the complete mechanical‑electrical hardware integration of Dodai’s EV battery packs, including enclosure design validation, module integration, harness design review, safety compliance, testing, and failure analysis. The role provides technical leadership to L0, L1 and L2 technicians and ensures that all pack builds meet structural, thermal, electrical, and functional specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and environmental tests such as vibration, shock, thermal cycling, IP and drop tests; review electrical test results (IR, OCV delta, balancing accuracy, capacity cycling) and perform root‑cause analysis using Ishikawa, 5‑Why and fault‑tree methods.
• Own engineering documentation including test reports, drawings, revision controls and ECNs; define measurement methods and acceptance criteria for hardware quality.
• Supervise L1 mechanical technicians on build processes, torque control, sealing and fastener management; supervise L2 electrical technicians on high‑voltage routing, harness management and testing routines; train team members on safety, DFM and testing techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, battery systems or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Strong electrical fundamentals, including HV architecture and contactors.
• Proficiency with testing instruments such as IR meters, multimeters and DAQ equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and certification test methods.
• Strong documentation and reporting capability.
