Branch Business Relationship Officer – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Branch Business Relationship Officer will drive business growth for Retail, MSME and International Financial Banking (IFB) at the assigned branch in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality relationship management to both new and existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and generating cross‑sell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new retail and MSME customers while retaining existing accounts.
• Promote and sell a full range of banking products, including domestic, digital, and international services.
• Utilise core banking and digital platforms to streamline transactions and enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain compliance with Sharia banking principles where applicable.
• Collaborate with branch staff and support teams to meet sales targets and service standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of successful experience in banking or a customer‑contact role.
• Strong understanding of banking operations (IFB, domestic, credit, international).
• Excellent communication, teamwork and customer‑centric attitude.
