Category Manager – Commerce

About the role

The Category Manager – Commerce will lead the sourcing and procurement of commercial materials, CAPEX and business services to ensure uninterrupted production, storage and delivery of our products. This role supports the OpCo’s long‑term growth by building strategic supplier partnerships and driving cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Procurement C&BS category team and define the Direct Category Strategy.
• Build, develop and lead a team of buyers to execute the strategy and professionalise the procurement function.
• Monitor category performance through supplier and performance management, and act as a business partner to heads of functions.
• Develop and execute sourcing plans, select compliant suppliers, and manage tenders, negotiations and material specifications.
• Ensure creation, administration and renewal of legal contracts in line with HEINEKEN standards, using Zycus.
• Collaborate with Procurement Development, Operations, Finance and Legal to guarantee compliant ordering and budgeting.
• Drive supplier relationship plans, capture performance requirements, and mitigate supply risks.
• Continuously improve the Purchase‑to‑Pay process and support audits of suppliers.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience on the supply side of procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead a category team and deliver strategic sourcing outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, cost‑saving initiatives and risk assessment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zycus procurement tooling.
• Experience using Vizibl for supplier development.
• Knowledge of source‑to‑contract processes and legal contract management.
• Ability to conduct structured negotiations and tender processes.
