Cigarette Packing Operator

About the role

JTI is looking for a dedicated Packing Operator to run cigarette packing machines safely and efficiently. You will help meet daily production targets while ensuring high‑quality output in line with company standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate cigarette packing machines according to approved procedures and production schedules.
• Complete shift handovers and maintain accurate production records.
• Verify packaging materials against production orders and report any discrepancies.
• Perform machine cleaning, inspections, and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running optimally.
• Conduct routine quality checks on finished products and packaging, reporting deviations promptly.
• Monitor machine performance, record downtime, and ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and 5S/3R standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and carry out any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Mechanics, Metal Fabrication, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy.
