Communications Intern

About the role

JTI Ethiopia is seeking a proactive Communications Intern to join its Corporate Affairs & Communication team in Addis Ababa. This 12‑month paid internship offers fresh graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in internal and external corporate communications, storytelling, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of internal communication campaigns across multiple channels.
• Assist in preparing leadership communication materials, including messages, announcements, and visual content.
• Help coordinate internal events such as town halls, engagement activities, and employee campaigns.
• Draft, edit, and proofread communication materials to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Maintain and update internal communication platforms and content calendars.
• Support employee engagement initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and collaboration.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong organizational, creative, and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with design tools such as Canva (advantage).
• Familiarity with video editing tools (advantage).
