Content Marketing Officer

About the role

Abet is seeking a proactive Content Marketing Officer with 2–3 years of hands‑on marketing experience. You will plan, research, produce, and distribute compelling written and digital content that builds brand awareness, engages target audiences, and supports commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality copy for articles, website pages, social media, email newsletters, and marketing collateral.
• Conduct market, audience, and industry research to uncover trends, pain points, and content opportunities.
• Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent, timely publishing across all channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with broader marketing and brand campaigns.
• Apply basic SEO techniques—keyword research, structure, meta tags—to improve organic visibility.
• Track performance metrics and use data insights to refine messaging and formats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, etc.).
• 2–3 years of direct experience in content, digital, or brand marketing.
• Strong research ability and excellent written storytelling skills in English and Amharic.
• Portfolio or writing samples showing versatility across formats and tones.

• WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
• Social media management tools.
