Customer Service and Sales Officer

About the role

The Customer Service and Sales Officer will ensure the smooth operation of the British Council’s Exams and Customer Services in Ethiopia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality customer experiences while meeting sales and revenue targets in line with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a consistent, positive customer experience following the British Council Customer Service Strategy.
• Achieve individual income and conversion targets each month.
• Coordinate with the Exams team to ensure a seamless customer journey and timely escalation of unresolved complaints.
• Support examination services through contact handling, registration, payment processing, and post‑test activities.
• Perform administrative duties such as creating purchase orders, cash handling, sending SMS/email communications, and processing bank transfers.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a customer service and sales executive.
• Strong understanding of marketing and negotiation techniques.
• Fast learner with a passion for customer service and sales.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven attitude.
• Higher Diploma or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM software (preferred).
