Digital Skills Learning and Teacher Development Consultancy

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the rollout of school‑based teacher professional development and digital learning initiatives across Ethiopia. Working under the Quality Education Manager, you will support curriculum implementation, digital systems, and knowledge management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and scale school‑based Teacher Professional Development (TPD) programmes.
• Provide technical assistance for digital systems and curriculum rollout.
• Develop, curate, and digitise learning content.
• Drive innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.
• Lead Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) for the programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in teacher training, digital content creation and educational project management.
• Proven experience with platform management and teacher professional development course creation.
• Familiarity with Ministry of Education TPD initiatives and standards.
• Experience designing foundational numeracy or mathematics programmes.
