Digital Specialist

About the role

The Digital Specialist will join Coopbank’s Addis Ababa office to support and accelerate the bank’s digital transformation agenda. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will help design, implement and monitor digital solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of digital transformation projects.
• Analyse digital performance data to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Coordinate project activities, prepare reports and maintain documentation.
• Monitor digital platforms to ensure alignment with the bank’s financial inclusion mission.
• Support the rollout of new digital products and services.

Required profile

• Ability to contribute to digital transformation initiatives, with familiarity in modern banking technologies and platforms.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and evidence‑based decision making.
• Experience or knowledge in digital strategy and customer‑centred digital solutions.
• Competence in project management to coordinate tasks and meet timelines.
• Understanding of business‑process analysis and improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Chemistry, project planning and management (MSc) or a related field.
• Knowledge of digital banking trends, financial inclusion initiatives and best practices in customer experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
