Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our production site in Kilinto. The role focuses on the safe execution of planned maintenance, rapid breakdown troubleshooting and delivering robust solutions while supporting key performance indicators and waste reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all maintenance activities safely and on‑time (OTIF), including legal‑related tasks.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures such as LOTO and minor intervention protocols.
• Perform maintenance in accordance with food safety standards (HACCP).
• Carry out planned and corrective maintenance, coach and train operators for CILT execution.
• Tag and detag equipment, identify performance issues during zonal tours, and attend production shift handover meetings.
• Assist operators with fine‑tuning, change‑overs and hand over equipment after maintenance, placing follow‑up tags.
• Execute Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out Try‑Out procedures and notify the duty engineer for stops longer than 15 minutes.
• Utilise dead time for instruction and training of operators.
• Participate in service and overhaul maintenance activities.
• Communicate and cooperate with operations before, during and after maintenance.
• Apply structured fault‑finding procedures, collect spare parts and mentor team members.
• Participate in RCFA/BDA (5‑why) analyses and maintain 5S organisation of maintenance areas.
• Engage in APM 0‑3 rollout and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Register breakdown work orders in the CMMS (Maximo) and define follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent vocational education.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and technical machine knowledge.
• Experience with TPM and ability to execute and train operators in preventive maintenance.
• Independent user of Windows, Microsoft Office and Maximo CMMS.
• Basic knowledge of process automation control.
• Certified to work with low‑voltage systems and mastered LOTO procedures.
• Good understanding of technical drawings (AutoCAD, P&ID, wiring diagrams).
