Finance Project Lead – Short‑Term Assignment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Project Lead for a short‑term professional services assignment in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on quickly understanding existing business systems, processes and information flows, and driving the final phase of an ongoing assignment to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Rapidly grasp the client’s systems, processes and information flows.
• Review existing work, identify outstanding areas and prioritize team activities.
• Analyze financial and operational information, including inventory records, movements and balances.
• Identify and follow up on discrepancies and unusual items.
• Guide the team in tracing transactions and supporting evidence.
• Review working papers to ensure findings are well documented.
• Coordinate information requests, follow‑ups and provide practical direction to team members.
• Consolidate team outputs into clear, well‑supported deliverables and keep the project on schedule.

Required profile

• Strong experience in inventory management, inventory accounting, audit or financial analysis.
• Comfortable working with inventory systems and records.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar accounting or operational systems.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Proven experience coordinating a team or leading a project.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Available to start immediately and able to meet tight deadlines.
