Job description

About the role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to create modern, secure and responsive user interfaces for our fintech ecosystem in Addis Ababa. You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers and product teams to deliver merchant portals, payment dashboards and admin systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop responsive web applications using React, Next.js, Angular or Vue.js.
  • Transform Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, production‑ready interfaces.
  • Build reusable UI components and maintain a component library.
  • Integrate frontend code with RESTful APIs and handle authentication flows.
  • Optimize performance, ensure cross‑browser/device compatibility and follow accessibility standards.
  • Write clean, well‑documented and testable code, participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional frontend development experience.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

  • JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Frontend frameworks: React.js, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js.
  • UI libraries: Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Bootstrap, Sass/SCSS, CSS Modules.
  • State management: Redux Toolkit, React Context, NgRx, Zustand, TanStack Query.
  • API integration: REST, JSON, Axios/Fetch, WebSockets.
  • Performance techniques: lazy loading, code splitting, tree shaking, image optimization, caching, Core Web Vitals.
  • Security: JWT, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, XSS/CSRF protection, RBAC.
  • Tools: Git, GitHub/GitLab, VS Code, Figma, Postman, npm/Yarn/pnpm, Vite/Webpack.
