About the role

We are seeking a motivated Full‑Stack Engineer to join our FinTech engineering team in Addis Ababa. You will help design and deliver secure, high‑performance payment platforms, merchant portals and mobile applications that handle large volumes of financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain scalable web applications and RESTful APIs.
Build responsive, user‑friendly front‑end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Integrate third‑party banking systems, payment gateways and digital‑wallet services.
Optimize code for performance, scalability and reliability.
Write clean, well‑documented code and participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide permanent fixes.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA, DevOps and product teams throughout the software lifecycle.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of professional full‑stack development experience.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns and enterprise‑grade applications.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

Frontend: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Responsive Design.
Backend: Node.js (Express/NestJS), Java Spring Boot, Go.NET Core, Laravel, RESTful APIs, JWT, OAuth2, Microservices.
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis.
DevOps/Cloud: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Nginx, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
FinTech: Payment gateways, digital wallets, banking APIs, PCI DSS, OWASP security best practices.
