About the role
Vital Strategies is seeking a Government Relations Advisor to lead regional engagement for its Lead Poisoning Prevention Program across Africa. Based in Addis Ababa, the advisor will work with country teams and government partners to advance evidence‑based policies that protect children from lead exposure.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate regional exchanges and coordinate high‑level partnership building with governmental agencies in multiple African countries.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key government and program partners, ensuring alignment with national priorities and global objectives.
- Support country teams in government engagement, share implementation updates, and promote coordination among consortium partners.
- Represent Vital Strategies at regional events, contribute to policy engagement, and foster collaboration among technical partners.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in government relations, public‑health policy, or similar partnership‑building roles.
- Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures, with strong coordination and communication skills.
- Willingness to be based in Ethiopia on a full‑time hybrid schedule.
