About the role

The Head of Information Technology Department will lead all IT functions for Raval Steel Manufacturing, a leading steel rebar producer in Ethiopia. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that the company’s technology infrastructure supports its manufacturing and business operations efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee infrastructure management, systems administration, and network reliability.
• Manage IT projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Supervise and mentor the IT team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
• Coordinate technical support, resolve complex issues, and maintain business continuity through backup, security, and disaster‑recovery plans.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align technology initiatives with regulatory and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in information technology, covering systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Proven experience in IT management, team leadership, budgeting, and project oversight.
• Hands‑on experience in network administration and security.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
