Immunization Project Coordinator (Female Only)

About the role

The Immunization Project Coordinator will support Save the Children’s GSK‑funded immunization programme in Ethiopia, focusing on reaching zero‑dose and under‑immunised children. The role is based in Babile and involves close collaboration with local health authorities, communities and partner organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of immunisation activities in the assigned region, ensuring alignment with national EPI strategies.
• Monitor vaccine coverage data, identify gaps and support targeted outreach to underserved populations.
• Facilitate community mobilisation and demand‑raising activities to increase uptake of routine vaccinations.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare regular progress reports and contribute to programme monitoring and evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with child safeguarding policies and oversee vetting processes for staff and volunteers.

Required profile

• Female candidate, as stipulated by the posting.
• Relevant experience in public health, immunisation programmes or project coordination within low‑resource settings.
• Strong understanding of Ethiopia’s health system and vaccination landscape.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
