Junior IT Officer

About the role

The Junior IT Officer will provide first‑line technical support for the bank’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of networks, hardware, and user systems across branches. This entry‑level position combines hands‑on troubleshooting with routine maintenance and user assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide network support and resolve connectivity issues.
• Deliver user support for the bank’s applications and systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, printers, scanners, and related devices.
• Perform network installation and preventive maintenance at branch locations.
• Maintain end‑user domain accounts and security settings in Windows Active Directory.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls as needed.
• Handle after‑hours and holiday support assignments.
• Report security incidents to the appropriate IT unit or manager.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure end‑to‑end issue resolution.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on IT support experience, including computer and printer hardware maintenance.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or local hardware maintenance training are advantageous.

Required skills

• Windows Active Directory administration.
