Learning Support Coordinator

About the role

The Learning Support Coordinator leads Bingham Academy’s Learning Support programme, ensuring students receive academic, social, mental and spiritual assistance. The role works closely with teachers, parents and school leadership to create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for the learning support programme and its students.
• Supervise universal screening of elementary students three times a year and share results.
• Identify, refer and evaluate students needing learning support services.
• Allocate students to support staff, manage timetables and monitor workloads.
• Hold regular meetings with support staff to plan, implement and document services.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for all supported students.
• Collaborate with Elementary and Secondary Leadership Teams and other student support services.
• Coordinate accommodations for Cambridge, SAT, ACT exams with relevant coordinators.
• Organise training for staff and parents on learning differences.
• Participate in school chapel and extracurricular activities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Teaching certification or licence.
• Experience with learning support or educational psychology.
