Marketing Officer (Microfinance)

About the role

The Marketing Officer will support Meftihe Microfinance’s mission to expand financial inclusion by promoting its products and services to underserved individuals and micro‑entrepreneurs across urban and rural Ethiopia. This permanent, onsite position is based at the head office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of microfinance products.
• Create promotional materials, manage social media channels, and coordinate outreach events.
• Conduct market research and analyse customer feedback to refine offerings.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with credit and lending teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in financial services or micro‑finance.
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in English and a commitment to women’s empowerment and diversity.
