Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will ensure safe and on‑time execution of all maintenance activities on production equipment. The role focuses on planned maintenance, rapid breakdown troubleshooting, and delivering robust solutions while supporting key performance indicators and waste reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all maintenance tasks safely, on‑time and in‑full (OTIF) following legal and quality standards.
• Apply food‑safety requirements (HACCP) and lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures during interventions.
• Perform planned and corrective maintenance, including overhaul work on assigned machines.
• Tag and detag equipment, hand over machines to operators, and record work orders in the maintenance control system.
• Coach operators and junior technicians, conduct CILT audits, and support fault‑finding activities.
• Maintain 5S standards in the workplace, toolboxes and documentation.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis (RCFA/BDA) and implement counter‑measures.
• Prepare lists of critical, wearing and tearing parts and manage spare‑part risk.

Required profile

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or production environment.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and ability to work under LOTO protocols.
• Capability to collaborate with operators and maintenance planners.
• Willingness to continuously learn and improve troubleshooting skills.
