Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join our team in Mek'elē. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on overseeing project monitoring, designing evaluation frameworks, and providing technical assistance to enhance our health information systems. You will analyze data to support healthcare interventions and produce regular reports with actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation of health projects.
• Design, implement and maintain evaluation frameworks.
• Provide technical assistance for system enhancements.
• Analyze healthcare data to inform interventions.
• Prepare regular reports and develop actionable insights.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure data quality and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in system monitoring and health information systems.
• Strong background in M&E methodology and framework design.
• Advanced analytical abilities with solid knowledge of statistics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field.
• Prior experience in health information systems and healthcare settings (advantageous).
