Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist will support the implementation of monitoring systems, performance measurement, and reporting for the America First Global Health Strategy and Supply Chain Strengthening projects in Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project monitoring frameworks, milestone tracking, and reporting processes.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and report performance data, ensuring data quality and timely dashboards.
• Support evaluations, surveys, baseline studies, and operational research, including tool development and field data collection.
• Conduct data quality reviews, spot checks, and corrective action plans.
• Generate actionable insights through data analysis, visualizations, and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Management, Supply Chain Management or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, health systems, supply chain or TB programs.
• Fluency in English and Amharic; willingness to travel within Ethiopia.

Required skills

• Data collection and analysis tools: DHIS2, Survey CTO, Kobo Toolbox, REDCap.
• Data visualization and reporting: Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Statistical software: R, STATA.
• GIS applications and digital solutions for monitoring.
