National Multisectoral and WASH Data Management Consultant

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a National Multisectoral and WASH Data Management Consultant to design, deploy and maintain integrated data solutions for WASH and related sectors across Ethiopia. The consultant will work from the Addis Ababa office, supporting evidence‑based planning, real‑time monitoring and reporting for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital data collection tools and remote‑access systems for national and sub‑national WASH programmes.
• Design and maintain GIS mapping, spatial analysis and interactive dashboards to visualise programme data.
• Ensure data quality, harmonisation, secure handling and interoperability with UNICEF‑approved and government information systems.
• Produce visual reporting products and data export processes for management, advocacy and donor engagement.
• Provide technical guidance to programme teams on practical use of data for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s level) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Project Planning or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in data management, information management or M&E, preferably in WASH or humanitarian/development contexts.
• Proven experience designing and managing GIS mapping and spatial analysis projects.
