Partnerships Specialist (Fixed‑Term) – Addis Ababa

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships Specialist to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders in Ethiopia. The role focuses on environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilization and policy influence to raise UNICEF’s visibility and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the work plan for the assigned partnership area, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of results.
• Identify, develop and promote new partnerships and resource‑mobilization opportunities in line with UNICEF’s strategy.
• Receive, screen and route inquiries from potential collaborators to appropriate UNICEF staff.
• Monitor the external environment for opportunities and risks, and share relevant information with the team.
• Serve as focal point and resource for colleagues on thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, resource mobilization or related fields.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs, private sector and donors.
• Strong analytical skills for environmental scanning and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
