People Co-ordinator – Fixed Term Maternity Cover

About the role

We are seeking an organised, proactive People Co‑ordinator to join our busy People Team on a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover. You will support the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for colleagues across our healthcare and social care services.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end recruitment, preparing offer letters, contracts and ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate pre‑employment checks, DBS renewals and professional registrations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and update our HR Information System (HRIS).
• Assist with HR processes for starters, contractual changes and leavers.
• Provide administration for employee relations, including documentation and minute taking.
• Produce HR reports and monitor metrics such as sickness absence, turnover and training compliance.
• Contribute to People Team projects, organisational changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a positive ambassador for the People Team and the Trust.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of administration experience in a generalist HR environment.
• Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Approachable, collaborative and able to work closely with senior HR advisors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an HR Information System (HRIS).
