Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

About the role

ELZAK Pharma PLC, a leading importer and distributor of pharmaceutical products in Ethiopia, is looking for an energetic and results‑driven Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. You will promote and sell a range of medicines, medical supplies and equipment to pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical and healthcare products to pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, wholesalers and other healthcare institutions.
• Identify, follow up and submit bids for public and private tenders via the Ethiopian e‑GP system, 2Merkato and other procurement platforms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and healthcare professionals, identifying new business opportunities.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Prepare regular sales, tender and market reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical‑product sales.
• Practical experience using tender platforms such as e‑GP, 2Merkato and other procurement portals.
• Good understanding of tender requirements, bid documents and submission deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
