Project Coordinator – Energizing Humanitarian Futures Programme

About the role

The Project Coordinator will support Mercy Corps’ Energising Humanitarian Futures (EHF) programme in Ethiopia, driving the implementation of clean‑energy solutions for displaced and vulnerable populations. This full‑time position is based in Addis Ababa and works closely with humanitarian actors, governments and private‑sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage in‑country activities, including partnership development and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Support the creation of public‑private partnerships (PPPs) to finance sustainable energy projects.
• Develop country‑level project pipelines and regional energy strategies for refugee/IDP hosting areas.
• Mobilise financial and technical resources to scale clean‑energy access.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange, learning from new delivery models and successful clean‑energy case studies.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating projects in humanitarian or disaster‑affected settings.
• Familiarity with clean‑energy initiatives and public‑private partnership models.
• Strong ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies and private‑sector partners.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
