Affiliate Contractor - Project Associate (Migration Response Centres)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Affiliate Contractor to serve as a Project Associate for its Migration Response Centres (MRCs) in Ethiopia. Working under the Programme Officer (Protection) and the National Officer (Protection), the associate will support planning, delivery, and overall operations of the MRCs, coordinating closely with sub‑offices and local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to protection programming and provide technical support to MRC staff.
• Assist in coordination and implementation of protection activities, including development of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Receive, analyse, and report protection cases referred by field teams, partners, or hotlines.
• Manage MRC data and produce weekly, monthly, annual, and donor reports.
• Organise training sessions on migrant protection, PSEA, GBV case management, child protection, and related topics.
• Support procurement and logistics for protection‑related activities and follow up on RMU requests.
• Attend meetings with protection partners, share information, and support joint initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in protection programming or humanitarian assistance.
• Ability to handle administrative, data‑management, and reporting tasks.
• Strong coordination skills with government, inter‑governmental, and non‑governmental partners.
• Capacity to work under the supervision of senior protection officers.
