QA Team Lead – Data Annotation & RLHF

About the role

We are seeking an experienced QA professional to lead a small team of annotators focused on technical annotation and Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF). The role is based onsite in Addis Ababa and offers a clear path to further leadership as the project scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a group of three annotators, ensuring high‑quality output.
• Review annotation clips, identify errors, and provide fast, specific feedback.
• Train annotators to self‑correct and consistently meet quality standards.
• Escalate systemic issues early to prevent rework backlogs.

Required profile

• Proven QA or annotation experience, preferably in technical or RLHF‑adjacent projects.
• Track record of handling 15+ quality clips per day.
• Ability to teach and explain judgment calls clearly.
• Comfort working under throughput pressure while maintaining quality standards.
