Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time, office‑based Quantity Surveyor in Addis Ababa. You will prepare and review Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and tender documents for building and infrastructure projects while supporting cost control and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Monitor project costs, update cost plans and produce regular cost reports.
• Evaluate contractor claims, variations and payment certificates.
• Support contract administration and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure budgeting accuracy and compliance with standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a similar Quantity Surveyor role.
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer License issued by the Ethiopian Construction Authority (preferred).
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• BOQ preparation and quantity take‑offs.
• Cost planning, cost management, cost control and cost reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Project/Primavera, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
