Sales Assistant – Retail & Customer Service

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, customer‑oriented Sales Assistant to join our creative concept space in Addis Ababa. You will be the front‑line representative of KIKUNDI, ensuring a seamless shopping experience while supporting the store’s commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the store daily, keeping the environment clean, tidy and well organized.
• Maintain the store’s visual merchandising to maximise product visibility and revenue.
• Provide enthusiastic customer service, answer inquiries via email, phone and social media, and record custom orders accurately.
• Identify new prospects, arrange face‑to‑face meetings and close sales deals.
• Coordinate deliveries, follow up with clients, and resolve any complaints.
• Record all sales transactions, issue receipts, and hand over documentation to the Finance Department.
• Deposit cash according to company policy and support periodic stock counts.
• Assist with receiving stock from production and operations teams.

Required profile

• Highly motivated and customer‑focused with strong communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to keep accurate records of sales and inventory.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for tracking leads and orders.
• Cash handling and basic accounting procedures.
• Inventory management and stock‑counting experience.
