Sales Executive – Hotel Business Development

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive new business for the Hilton hotel in Addis Ababa by analysing market trends, identifying opportunities and building relationships with corporate clients. This position works closely with the sales director and other hotel departments to maximise revenue across all streams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to generate new business leads.
• Develop and nurture customer accounts within the local area to increase market share.
• Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
• Design and implement creative local marketing initiatives, including social media.
• Prepare contracts in line with current pricing and business conditions.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Attend sales events and produce accurate reports for senior management.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong English communication skills and a positive attitude.
• High grooming standards and flexibility to adapt to varied work situations.
• Ability to work under pressure and take initiative.
• Proven track record of closing sales.
