About the role
As a Secondary Business/Economics Teacher at Bingham Academy, you will lead classroom instruction for secondary students, integrating Christian values with the Cambridge curriculum. Your work will shape students’ academic growth and character development, preparing them to influence their communities and the world.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, student‑centered lessons aligned with the Cambridge Business/Economics curriculum.
- Prepare schemes of work, resources and assessments that track academic progress and character development.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student attainment.
- Manage a safe, inclusive classroom using restorative, Christ‑centered practices.
- Integrate Christian philosophy into lesson planning and classroom management.
- Communicate professionally with parents, discuss performance and write annual reports.
- Maintain personal teaching certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
Required profile
- Ministry‑mindset with Christ‑like character and a passion for discipleship.
- Student‑centered teaching approach that encourages critical thinking and active participation.
- Ability to collaborate positively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
- Resilience, emotional maturity and cultural sensitivity.
- Willingness to learn and apply the Cambridge curriculum.
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- Experience (preferred) with the Cambridge Curriculum or A‑Level teaching.
