Senior Digital Payment Devices Administrator – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Senior Digital Payment Devices Administrator will oversee the bank’s network of ATMs, POS terminals and other electronic payment channels in Addis Ababa. This role ensures these devices remain available, secure and performant while supporting the bank’s digital payment strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain ATMs, POS terminals and related payment devices.
• Perform installation, configuration and regular maintenance to guarantee optimal performance.
• Manage incident and problem resolution, including root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware support, upgrades and service contracts.
• Oversee network connectivity and communication services required for payment devices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and internal policies.
• Lead system recovery efforts during outages to minimise business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience administering digital payment devices or similar banking technology.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
