Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

About the role

We are a small, fast‑growing company building multi‑platform content‑filtering software. As a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead you will combine hands‑on development with day‑to‑day leadership of an AI‑focused engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign and track tasks for the development team, ensuring steady delivery.
• Translate big‑picture projects and direction from the CTO into clear, actionable work items.
• Stay hands‑on by contributing code to the most challenging parts of any active project.
• Unblock teammates, maintain high quality standards, and mentor engineers to grow their skills.
• Design and implement AI‑driven features alongside the team.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack development experience with the ability to contribute immediately across the stack.
• Proven track record of leading a software development team and earning the respect of peers.
• Comfortable turning strategic direction into concrete tasks while remaining technically involved.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work on‑site and lead the team from our Addis Ababa office.
• Motivation to grow with a small company and take on increasing responsibility.
