Senior Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Officer is a senior operational role responsible for end‑to‑end coordination of procurement, expediting, logistics, customs clearance, supplier management, inventory, and ERP activities. The incumbent will lead assigned workstreams, support junior team members, and ensure that purchase orders and shipments move smoothly from sourcing to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement packages from requisition through RFQ/RFP, evaluation, negotiation, award, purchase order creation and delivery.
• Track purchase orders through production, shipment, customs clearance and delivery, maintaining accurate PO trackers.
• Plan and coordinate domestic and international freight by air, sea and land, handling bookings with freight forwarders and 3PL providers.
• Prepare and validate customs and trade documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HS codes, certificates of origin and permits.
• Maintain supplier, vendor and item records in Dynamics 365/ERP and ensure data integrity.
• Proactively identify delays, negotiate recovery actions and escalate critical issues with clear impact analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in complex procurement, logistics and customs clearance within a global supply chain environment.
• Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams, support junior staff and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen for supplier pricing, payment terms and delivery conditions.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and timely escalation of issues.
