Senior Systems Presales Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Presales Engineer who can translate complex network and data‑center requirements into compelling business solutions. You will work closely with customers, partners and internal teams to design, size and price enterprise server and storage architectures that meet performance, availability and budget goals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer business and technical requirements and propose end‑to‑end data‑center solutions.
• Design high‑level and low‑level architectures, BOMs, compliance matrices and cost estimates.
• Use vendor partner portals and configuration tools to generate accurate product configurations and quotations.
• Prepare technical responses to RFP/RFQ, including HLD/LLD, implementation methodology and compliance documentation.
• Perform solution sizing, capacity planning, performance analysis and scalability assessments for server and storage environments.
• Coordinate with vendors and distributors to obtain specifications, pricing, lead times and certifications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of vendor portfolios, licensing models and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in presales, solution design, consulting or implementation of enterprise server, storage, virtualization and data‑center solutions.
• Relevant technical or vendor certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, storage vendor certifications) are a plus.
• Strong consultative mindset with the ability to turn technical specifications into business value.

Required skills

• Enterprise servers, SAN, NAS, DAS and backup solutions.
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft Hyper‑V or similar).
• High availability and disaster‑recovery architectures.
• Solution architecture, capacity planning and performance analysis.
• BOM generation, solution sizing and cost estimation.
• Use of vendor partner portals for product configuration and quotation.
• Preparation of technical proposals, compliance matrices and RFP/RFQ responses.
