About the role

You will join the MPESA Core Platforms team as a Software Engineer focused on financial planning. In this role you will manage and optimise the financial services systems that underpin millions of daily transactions, helping to maintain a service availability of 99.999% and ensuring secure, reliable customer transactions.

Key responsibilities

Manage and optimise core financial services systems supporting MPESA.
Maintain service availability of 99.999% through monitoring and continuous improvement.
Ensure the security and reliability of all customer financial transactions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate cutting‑edge technologies and drive platform evolution.

Required profile

Demonstrated talent as a software engineer with a strong interest in financial technology.
Ability to work effectively in high‑availability, security‑focused environments.
