Tender Specialist

About the role

The Tender Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Addis Ababa. You will manage the end‑to‑end tender process, from spotting opportunities to delivering compliant, competitive proposals. The role ensures all submissions meet deadlines and procurement guidelines while supporting post‑tender clarifications.

Key responsibilities

• Identify relevant tender opportunities and conduct market and competitor analysis.
• Review tender requirements and coordinate internal inputs from sales, finance and technical teams.
• Prepare and structure proposals, compiling technical and financial documentation.
• Maintain tender documentation, trackers and templates to ensure consistency.
• Ensure submissions comply with procurement guidelines and are delivered on time.
• Support post‑tender clarification requests and stakeholder communication.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tender processes and templates.

Required profile

• Strong tender management and procurement skills, familiar with public and private sector procedures.
• Excellent analytical abilities for evaluating requirements, pricing structures and competitive positioning.
• Clear, professional communication skills for internal and external coordination.
• Advanced proposal writing experience to produce persuasive, compliant documents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, Public Administration or related field.
• Experience in tendering or procurement within technology, IT services or consulting environments.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools and digital document management.
• Ability to work collaboratively on‑site and uphold high ethical and compliance standards.
