About the role
Inkomoko is seeking an Advocacy Manager to lead its in‑country advocacy agenda in Ethiopia. The role focuses on influencing policy, building partnerships, and expanding economic opportunities for refugee‑ and host‑community micro, small and medium enterprises.
Key responsibilities
- Engage in policy discussions and track relevant legislative developments.
- Manage relationships with government officials, NGOs, private‑sector partners, and displaced‑community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and Regional Director of Advocacy to design and implement advocacy initiatives that align national priorities with regional and global strategies.
- Influence policy decisions that create inclusive economic opportunities for MSMEs in refugee‑hosting areas.
- Document lessons learned, contribute to evidence‑based advocacy strategy, and report on measurable outcomes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in policy engagement or advocacy, especially in displacement‑affected or vulnerable‑population contexts.
- Ability to translate strategic priorities into concrete actions and deliver results.
- Strong relationship‑building skills across public, nonprofit, and private sectors.
- Commitment to inclusive economic development and entrepreneurship.
